The show centers on Joe Exotic, a man who owns a big cat "zoo" in Oklahoma where he employs a very interesting cast of characters, including his two husbands.

His arch-nemesis is a woman named Carole Baskin, who runs Big Cat Rescue and says she wants to save the big cats from those profiting off them—though she's got an story, as well. (A miniseries based on the doc is already in the works, with attached to play Carole.)Joe is accused of hiring someone to kill Baskin, but that's not even close to.
