Pensioner in hospital after two 'dangerously out of control dogs' attack him in street

A man has been arrested after reports two 'dangerously out of control dogs' attacked a pensioner, leaving him in the hospital.

Police were called to Hollin Lane in Middleton at around 2.40pm on Monday (January 20) following reports of two dogs being dangerously out of control.

A man in his 70s was rushed to hospital for treatment, and two dogs were seized. Police said a 63-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody for questioning.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 2.40pm, we received reports of two dogs being dangerously out of control on Hollin Lane, Middleton. "Officers responded and a man in his 70s was taken to hospital for treatment.
