He is the star of The Pembrokeshire Murders - which pulled in seven million viewers on its first night on Monday. But actor Luke Evans had to wait over a decade before making it as a major actor.
And even now with regular big money film offers, he prefers making tv shows in his beloved Wales compared to Hollywood films.
Evans plays Detective Superintendent Steve Wilkins in the ITV series who is trying to convict John Cooper of the double murder.
Policeman Wilkins moved away to Scotland Yard before returning to Wales to work. Evans got his big break in the US in the 2010 remake film Clash Of The Titans and has been in a number of big Hollywood films since including The Girl On The Train and Beauty And The Beast.
