Paul Scholes has urged Manchester United to sign another central defender to help make up for Harry Maguire's shortcomings. The Red Devils were dumped out of the Europa League by Sevilla in a defeat that laid bare their deficiencies in attack and defence.
Maguire and his United back four could've done more to stop both the goals that saw them fall to a 2-1 defeat. Luuk de Jong's winner especially bought about an angry reaction from Bruno Fernandes who felt as if it could've been prevented.
And Scholes feels as if the Old Trafford chiefs need another star to go alongside their £75m signing. "I think they could do with a centre half, I've said that all along," he said. "I'm not sure Lindelof going to be good enough as a partner for Maguire.
