Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision to play Paul Pogba on the right-hand side of Manchester United ’s attack was one that caught the attention prior to the showdown with Liverpool.

After returning to top form in recent weeks, the Frenchman was moved further forward to allow Fred and Scott McTominay to fill the two defensive slots in midfield.

Despite being out of position, Pogba put in another good display and was almost the match-winner in closing minutes. Following an Aaron Wan-Bissaka run, the ball was squared to him in the penalty area.
