Paul Mescal ‘could not be prouder’ of pal Daisy Edgar-Jones after Golden Globe nomination

In a reverse of the Emmy nominations last year, Daisy Edgar-Jones has received a Golden Globes nomination but her Normal People co-star Paul has not.

Paul received a nod for his role as Connell at the Emmy awards and was hotly tipped to join Daisy on the list of Golden Globe nominees.

Any disappointment he may have is being well hidden though as he took to social media to congratulate his pal on her achievement.

He shared that he ‘could not be prouder of you my friend’ along with a heart emoji in a video posted to Instagram stories. The video shows the pair on set during Normal People’s production as they nod up and down, left and right in between shots.
