Former AC/DC bass guitarist Paul Matters has sadly died from health issues "related to his rock 'n' roll lifestyle." Paul's death has been announced on Facebook by his friend Rod Wescombe who said he was "shocked and sad" at the news.The guitarist joined the iconic rock band in 1974 but was sacked by the band's lead singer Bon Scott just weeks after joining.
He toured with the band following the recording of their debut album High Voltage and had departed before the recording of their second collection T.N.T.
Rod wrote on social media: "Shocked and sad to hear of the passing of Paul Matters. "I first met Paul in 1973 when he was playing bass in Armageddon at a gig in Hamilton, Newcastle N.S.W.
