Paul Gascoigne was in tears last night – after cops dropped their probe into a £140,000 raid at the star’s home. Gazza was devastated after learning the raiders have dodged justice.
Their September 2020 haul included a £40,000 diamond-encrusted watch bought with his first Tottenham pay packet. Gazza said they took a gold timepiece given to him from his dad John after he died of cancer in 2018, plus a league medal from Rangers.
It’s feared they struck after TV host Piers Morgan posted a picture of him on Twitter sitting in the Life Stories audience. Gazza, 54, said: “Losing those things broke my heart – they were from times in my life I’ll never forget.“Knowing I’ll never get them back makes me furious.
Someone stole them because they wanted to make quick money but they were priceless to me.”Gazza left his home in Poole, Dorset, to support lifelong friend Vinnie Jones – who has helped him battle alcohol addiction.
