EXCLUSIVE: The story of the demolition of the Cabrini-Green public housing development in Chicago is the basis for a new podcast starring Patina Miller, Corey Stoll and Harry Lennix.
The Raising Kanan star Miller, Billions actor Stoll and The Blacklist’s Lennix are leading The Last Days of Cabrini-Green, a new series for Audible that comes from Campside Media, the company behind the Chameleon and Suspect podcasts, and Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy producer At Will Media.
The series, which launches on November 14, is based on Ben Austen’s book High-Risers: Cabrini-Green and the Fate of American Public Housing.
It takes place in Chicago, 1992 – the deadliest year in the city’s history and also a moment of rapid change: Michael Jordan, Oprah, population growth.
