Danny Bonaduce has revealed that he will undergo brain surgery next week amid a health scare that he affected his everyday life.

The 63-year-old actor told TMZ that he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus back in March after going to “100 doctors.” Danny had been struggling to talk and was unable to walk or keep his balance due to the illness.

The Mayo Clinic says hydrocephalus is “the buildup of fluid in the cavities (ventricles) deep within the brain. The excess fluid increases the size of the ventricles and puts pressure on the brain.” “I’ve done so many stupid things,” Danny told TMZ. “On a reality TV show, I took a guitar to the head and that hurt.

That’s possibly the cause of all this. “I got punched in the face by Jose Canseco, a 265-pound professional athlete,” he added. “And by the way, I didn’t hit the floor, [I] made it on my feet the whole time.” Danny noted that his life has changed forever and he’ll never be able to run track or get in the boxing ring again, but he hopes his life gets better somewhat. “If the diagnosis is correct, I’ll be 50 percent better right away,” Danny said about his surgery, during which he’ll have a “shunt in his head” and a drain on the back of his head.
