msn.comGeorge Clooney picked up the tab for her 30th birthday finner after running into him at a restaurant. Leicester-born Parminder, 46, who shot to fame in Bend It Like Beckham 20 years ago, had previously me the Hollywood star when she appeared in ER.
Appearing on today's episode of Lorraine, she recalled spotting the actor having drinks at the same restaurant as she celebrated with friends.
He came over to chat to her and was 'so lovely', and at the end of the night when she went to pay, she was told the bill had been 'taken care of' by Clooney.
The Oceans Twelve star is known for his generosity, and famously gave 14 friends who helped him before he was famous $1 million each in cash.
