Those living on Oxford Road, Altrincham, say they’ve been complaining to the council for years over problems but claim the authority has ‘failed’ to properly maintain the street.
Robert Bacon, who lives on Oxford Road, said: “Someone is going to get hurt. The place is a rat run and the condition of pavements – wheelchair users have to go in the road they’re that bad. “We get big articulated lorries down here, the road’s not built for it, so it falls to pieces.
