The parents of PGA Tour star Grayson Murray, Eric and Terry, have shared a statement confirming that their son tragically took his own life.
Grayson, who was just 30 years old and ranked 58th in the world, was found dead on Saturday 25 May.This came less than a day after he withdrew from the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.
After playing 16 holes in Friday's second round, Grayson told his fellow players that he wasn't feeling well and left the course.
Over the years, Murray had been candid about his battles with alcohol and mental health issues. However, he managed to turn his life around last year, achieving sobriety and reclaiming his spot on the PGA Tour.
