Pape Habib Gueye has sealed a move to Aberdeen with the Senegalese striker to bolster options, penning a three year deal.Record Sport broke the story that the Kortrijk striker was due to join Barry Robson's men after they secured the signings of former Dundee United man Jamie McGrath and Finnish international defender Richard Jensen from Polish side Gornik Zabrze.
Gueye now becomes Aberdeen's 12th recruit of the summer after popular figures Leighton Clarkson and Graeme Shinnie returned for permanent moves. The 23-year-old forward was said to have had interest from rivals Hibs but reports were shot down after he was told he was free to leave the Belgian club before the transfer window closed.
Now the Dons have tied him down as he told the club's website: "I am very excited to be joining Aberdeen and I hope that I can help the team to be successful this season, both in Scotland and in Europe.
Aberdeen is a fantastic club with a great history. I hope we can add some of our own stories to that incredible legacy in my time with the Dons.
