Paisley widow, who has lost her husband and her children, has thanked Renfrewshire Council for upgrading the cemetery where she goes to be with her loved ones.
Helen Muir visits Hawkhead Cemetery every Thursday to sit by the grave of her husband William Muir and son Thomas Little.It is also a space where she remembers her son Edward and daughter Sharon, who died soon after birth.The 74 year old told the Express the recent upgrades to the graveyard, off Hawkhead Road, have meant a great deal to her as she prepares to mark the anniversary of Thomas’ death.Thomas died on June 14, 2008 aged 45 after fighting motor neurone disease.Helen said: “I have been going up there for 13 years past in April, since I lost my husband.“I also lost my son 12.
