Paisley town centre tragedy as pensioner dies after taking ill

A pensioner has died in Paisley this afternoon after taking ill while in the town centre. The 73-year-old became unwell on Old Sneddon Street near the junction with Smithhills Street around 2pm.Emergency service crews raced to assist the woman but, sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.The area was taped off by police and a blue tent was put up.
