William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Paisley star Paulo Nutini announces new tour dates following a five-year absence

Paisley star Paolo Nutini has announced dates for his brand new tour as he returns to the stage this year. The New Shoes singer is set to gig in Scotland for the first time in five years when he plays at TRNSMT in Glasgow on July 8.

His last appearance onstage was actually in his hometown when he performed at Paisley Abbey in April 2017.But the 35-year-old local treasure is now looking ahead to a number of UK shows in the coming months, as well as a bunch of dates scheduled across Europe.Paolo's tour commences this Saturday at Sheffield’s Leadmill.

He will then play four nights at London’s 100 Club next week and two shows at the Corran Halls in Oban.Tickets will go on sale at 9am tomorrow (May 10) as fans look forward to his return.Paolo will follow the live dates by headlining TRNSMT and Victorious Festivals, playing sold-out outdoor shows in Bristol and Belfast, and performing at Liam Gallagher’s huge Knebworth Park show.Meanwhile, European dates include a tour of Italy in July as well as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Andalucia Big Festival and Lollapalooza Berlin.The Scots singer announced the tour dates on social media this morning, Tweeting: "Tickets on sale tomorrow 9AM - link in bio."Paolo's Scottish dates include May 27 and 28 at Corran Halls in Oban.After his headlining performance at TRNSMT on July 8, he is off to Italy playing in a number of venues including a sell-out show in Rome.He will then perform a couple more shows in the UK later this year.Paolo's tour comes eight years after the release of his last album 'Caustic Love', but he has maintained a low profile since then.
