A Paisley care home has been praised for treating its residents with “dignity and respect”. Two inspectors from the Care Inspectorate carried out an unannounced visit to Hunterhill care home last month.They spoke with people using the service, spoke with staff and management, observed practice and daily life and reviewed documents.
Publishing its findings, the watchdog rated the Blackford Road facility ‘good’ across two key areas.The key messages from the report included that staff were motivated and dedicated to their roles, people were cared for by staff who knew them well and there was a good degree of consistency and the service benefited from skilled activity staff who offered a very good range of high-quality meaningful activities.
The facility, operated by Renfrewshire Council, was awarded a ‘good’ for how well it supports people’s wellbeing. The report stated: “People were treated with dignity and respect which they should expect.
