A Paisley actor is getting ready to take the stage in a major new Scottish productionGallowhill man Martin Quinn is part of the cast of Orphans, a musical take on the Scottish cult classic film.The show will open at the SEC Armadillo at the beginning of April before heading on tour around Scotland.Martin plays Seamus in the musical, which follows the Flynn siblings on a stormy night in Glasgow after the death of their mother.He said: “Apart from everything else, everyone has been locked up for two years.

It’s nice doing a musical set in Scotland.“It’s a proper working class story and you don’t really get many of them. It’s nice singing in my own dialect.“Everyone working on it is at the top of their game.

The lights, the set, all the technical staff, it’s not just about your performance but everyone else in the production.“We are working with some of the best in the country, that’s what’s cool about it.”Martin was also in Moorcroft at the Tron Theatre, written by Erskine woman Eilidh Loan and has appearances on screen for Scots Squad and The Limmy Show under his belt.Don't miss the latest headlines from around Renfrewshire.
