Paddy McGuinness pulls out of Soccer Aid with injury after Roman Kemp tests positive for Covid

Charity football match Soccer Aid 2021 is in chaos as Top Gear presenter Paddy McGuinness has been forced to pull out due to a leg injury.

Paddy, 48, is the second star forced to withdraw from the match in a matter of hours as Roman Kemp was “gutted” yesterday as he tested positive for Covid forcing him out of the match.

The TV funny-man took to Instagram to share with his 1.9 million followers the news that he has been forced to pull out of the match this year.

He said: “Gutted! For the first time ever I’m having to pull out of @socceraid due to injury.Tore my lateral meniscus and it’s not something that can be sorted with the magic sponge.” Paddy continued: “Good luck to both teams today and if you’ve got tickets you’re in for a great day.
