Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Overnight lane closures planned on A9 in Perthshire to allow resurfacing works

Auchterarder and Aberuthven will be subjected to overnight road closures from this week to allow resurfacing works to take place.

The improvements, worth £200,000, begin tomorrow (September 29) and will take place over seven nights between 7.30pm and 6.30am with all work expected to be completed by 6.30am on October 8.No works will take place on Friday and Saturday night.The project will address defects in the road surface on the northbound section of the A9 at East Mill to Shinafoot and Broadfold, creating a safer road surface for motorists.To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, a lane closure with a 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours.The convoy system will be removed during the daytime.BEAR Scotland’s.
