The new season begins where the previous finale left off, with Claire Fraser, played by Caitriona Balfe, arrested by the British Crown for witchcraft and the murder of her former medicinal trainee.The first episode continued Roger and Brianna’s storyline and reintroduced a pivotal character who fans will remember from Claire's brutal assault in an earlier season.Elsewhere, many loose ends from previous seasons were tied up as well as setting the scene for some of the upcoming plot points throughout series seven.
