Outlander's Sam Heughan wins prestigious tequila award for Sassenach Select Spirits

The Outlander actor debuted his tequila brand, The Sassenach Select Double Wood Reposado, in December 2021, and was met with widespread praise and acclaim as he is already sweeping the awards.
The star, originally from Dumfries, is best known for his role as Highland Warrior Jamie Fraser in the TV adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's historical fantasy series Outlander.
The judges praised the tequila for its “clean and fresh palate with increasing savoury notes, honey, vanilla, late pepper and bitter herbals”.The 41-year-old tweeted: "Gold Medal!
I’m proud to share our Master Medal win #TheSpiritsMasters."Revealing that bottles are now available to pre-order, he added: "Hope you’ll try a bottle of our award winning tequila!
