Outlander celebrates eight years on our screens with series of throwback behind the scenes snaps
dailyrecord.co.ukIt's hard to believe that eight years ago today, Outlander first aired on our screens. It is safe to say that fans have been on quite the journey with the cast and crew of the hit show which stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe.
Filming for season seven is currently underway, as it was delayed due to the pandemic. The show's story line has spanned over 20 year, and has really seen characters grow and develop.
To celebrate the special milestone, the official Outlander Instagram account posted some behind the scenes snaps from years gone by, and cast members looks so young in some of the photos from season one.
Alongside an array of snaps from the first season, they wrote: "On August 9, 2014 our incredible show came into the world. Here’s to all the #Outlander cast, crew, and fans who have made the last eight years special." The first picture shows Caitriona on set as Claire in Inverness in the early episodes, before she went through the standing stones.
