Outlander fans were delighted on Friday when the brand new bumper episode of season seven dropped. Fanatics of the show set their alarms for the first episode "A Life Well Lost" dropping and, after watching it, many took to social media to discuss.

Many loyal followers of the show fell in love with Jamie and Claire through the books, which were penned by Diana Gabaldon, and they always like to compare the show storylines to the books.

One fan appeared to be confused at the last scene of the first episode as Jamie Fraser appeared to have a violent show down with Richard Brown, which then left viewers with a cliffhanger and one fan took to Twitter to ask Diana why that changed from the book.They wrote: "Loved it, though little thrown by the end since I couldn’t recall a revenge storyline (against the Browns) happening after Claire’s release.
