Steve Wright has been celebrated as a broadcaster who was "born to be in a studio", following his death aged 69.. For over four decades, Wright graced the airwaves of BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2, capturing the attention of millions.
BBC Radio 4's Today programme heard from Nicky Campbell, Wright's long time coworker, who said: "It's where he belonged. He was absolutely born to be in a studio, it's where he thrived.
It was his natural habitat." Campbell added that Wright's passion for radio was contagious: "His heart soared when he was on the air and that was contagious.
