But a slew of other talented actors — including Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Denzel Washington and Pamela Anderson — were completely snubbed from the nominations list.Jolie, 49, was acclaimed for her role in the Maria Callas biopic directed by Pablo Larraín.
She previously won an Oscar in 2000 for “Girl, Interrupted.” For “Maria,” Jolie was nominated for a Golden Globe, an Astra Film Award and a Critics’ Choice Movie Award.
She was also honored at the 2024 Gotham Awards. But some fans and critics saw her Oscars snub coming after she didn’t land a nomination for a Screen Actor Guild Award.Kidman, 57, received similar praise for her performance as a CEO who has an affair with her younger intern in “Babygirl.” The movie provided many viral moments — including that infamous milk scene — that drew more attention towards the project.
