Much like the Oscar statue itself, stars of the big screen and beyond looked like they wanted to be recognised as winners as they stepped out in shimmering threads.
Golden dresses and bold suits commanded instant attention as stars rocked up in the number 1 signalling signature colour. Actor and singer Leslie Odom Jr, 39, dazzled in a double-breasted, gilded Brioni suit.
The multi talented star was nominated for two gongs on the night – Best Supporting Actor for his role as Sam Cooke in One Night in Miami.
