When it came to preparing for his role in Moon Knight, Oscar Isaac relied on his family for help.
The 43-year-old actor plays two characters in the Marvel series, Steve Grant and Marc Spector, who inhabit the same body.
Throughout the show, the pair often speak to each other through mirrors or reflective surfaces, particularly when they’re fight for control over their body.
ET reports that during a press conference, Oscar revealed that his brother, Michael Benjamin Hernandez, helped him pull off those complex scenes. Click inside to read more… “The first step was to hire my brother,” he said of the scenes where Steve and Marc are speaking with each other. Oscar explained that his brother would “come in and be the other me.” “It was the closest thing to me there is on Earth,” the actor said. “So, he came in and he would play either Steven or Marc and even did the accent and everything — both accents — and so that was really helpful to have someone that’s not only a great actor but also shares my DNA to play off of.” He added, “Something that I didn’t anticipate was how technically demanding that was gonna be of having to, like, show up and decide which character I was gonna play first.
