Maccabi Tel Aviv are reportedly desperate to extend wonderkid Oscar Gloukh's contract at the club amid concerns over a cut-price move to Celtic.Ange Postecoglou has included the 18-year-old on a list of January transfer targets in case any of Celtic ’s World Cup stars are snared from the Scottish Premiership champions this winter, and with Qatar 2022 moving closer speculation is ramping up over a move to Celtic Park in the player's homeland.
The prospect has netted four goals in his last three appearances in the Israeli League with Tel Aviv surging to the top of the division.
With head of scouting and recruitment Mark Lawwell having the player watched by Parkhead scouts earlier this season, fears have been raised within Tel Aviv that the Israel youth cap could leave for a lowball offer with his current deal only running until 2024.
The club had originally slapped an £8million valuation on the player. Israeli outlet Sport 1 says the club have now launched a bid to extend the deal until at least 2025.
