Joe Otterson TV Reporter Renée Zellweger has joined the cast of “Only Murders in the Building” Season 5, Variety has confirmed.
Zellweger joins fellow new Season 5 cast members Christoph Waltz and Keegan-Michael Key. As is typically the case with “Only Murders,” character and plot details for the new season are being kept under wraps.
Season 5 is currently in production. Zellweger is a two-time Academy Award winner — one for best supporting actress for “Cold Mountain” and another for best actress for “Judy.” She was also nominated for her roles in both “Chicago” and “Bridget Jones’s Diary.” She is also a four-time Golden Globe winner for “Cold Mountain,” “Chicago,” “Nurse Betty,” and “Judy.” Most recently, she starred in “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” the fourth installment in the Bridget Jones film series.
The film has grossed over $122 million worldwide. She made her series regular television debut with the Netflix series “What/If” and recently starred in the true crime limited series “The Thing About Pam” at NBC.
