mirror.co.ukWhen Matt Baker’s 77-year-old father called him to say his mum had been involved in an accident on their farm, he didn’t hesitate. “Dad rang up and said ‘Mum’s had a nasty accident down in the sheep pens’ and that was it,” the former One Show host says. “There was no question about it, we did what we had to do.” The 43-year-old said it was one of those phone calls everyone dreads and the reason why he and his wife of 16 years, Nicola, and their two children Luke, 13, and Molly, 11, temporarily relocated to his parents’ farm in the Durham hills to help out last summer.
They documented how they transformed the farm along with the ups and downs of farm life, for a new More4 show, Our Life in the Dales.
