The Emmy nominations for this year were unveiled on July 17, and TV aficionados are disgruntled that one of the most lauded shows of 2023 was overlooked.
FX's grand historical drama Shogun led the nominations with an impressive 25 nods. Hot on its heels was The Bear, another FX show, which garnered 23 nominations, setting a new record for a television comedy.
Only Murders in the Building received 21 nominations, including a first-time nod for lead actress Selena Gomez, while Netflix's unexpected hit Baby Reindeer secured a commendable 11 nods.
However, as is customary each year, many television enthusiasts were more focused on the shows that failed to receive recognition from the Academy.
