One of Scotland's oldest and most iconic restaurants has created an unbeatable 1980s deal that will leave diners nostalgic.The Baby Grand located in in Glasgow's Charing X area has turned back the clock and is offering a 1984s menu with prices to match.The restaurant is celebrating its 40th birthday by giving customers the chance to eat at a fraction of the cost of a normal meal out.They have recreated a 1984 menu that includes courses that cost as little as £2 and are available every Wednesday until further notice.Since the Baby Grand piano bar and restaurant first opened its doors it has been a much-loved feature of the city’s vibrant food and drink scene ever since with regulars including Deacon Blue’s Ricky Ross and comedian Elaine C Smith.It became a favourite amongst business clientele and also artists and those in the media as well as students and people heading out to clubs such as The Ultrateque and Maestros.Owner Billy McAneney, 74, said: “This could be our last year of business because the whole area is slowly and surely being demolished and I know there are big plans over the next 10 years to knock the whole place down.“I’m slightly surprised the building would be given listed status because it is one of the last buildings standing that were made with Bison wall-frame construction.“Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that will happen so we are not sure how long we will be able to continue.“If it goes on that’s fine but not many places last 40 years.“We’re going out with a bang."He added: “As well as people like Ricky Ross and Elaine C Smith we have people who have been coming since day one and sadly others who are no longer with us.”The Wednesday menu includes starters such as soup of the day for £2, pan
