The Tokyo Olympics – which are being referred to as the 2020 Olympics, despite taking place in 2021 due to the pandemic, are set to begin on Friday (June 23).

Following the Opening Ceremony (find out how to watch it), many fans will be specifically tuning in to see specific competitions, including swimming. Click inside to see the schedule… This year, the swimmers will compete in a high-tech pool with movable walls and flooring, and is one of eight venues built from scratch for the Olympic Games, originally scheduled to open in March of 2020.

There are some new events, like the women’s 1,500-meter freestyle. There will also be a 800-meter freestyle race for men. Plus, there’s a new relay: the mixed 4×100 medley.
