While on the mountain, she was caught up in a sudden avalanche and lost her life amid the deluge of snow. So, so heartbreaking.
She was so very young. Sophie was a part of the Swiss snowboarding team that took part in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.
She even went on to get World Cup podium positions during the 2023-2024 snowboarding season as well, marking her as one of the world’s best ever.
