Olly Murs has revealed a significant career shift, just days after his 40th birthday celebrations were marred by the absence of his estranged twin brother Ben.
The 'Dance With Me Tonight' singer took to Instagram on Friday to announce his participation in the Madison Invitational charity golf day, an annual event that raises funds for those less fortunate. The X Factor star, who shot to fame following his appearance on the 2009 show, shared a promotional photo of himself on the golf course, signalling a new direction in his career.
However, this exciting news comes amidst ongoing family tensions, as Olly and his twin Ben have not spoken for over 15 years.Ben has previously accused his famous sibling of prioritising fame over family, even claiming that the Troublemaker singer had 'torn the family apart'.
The feud between the twins began in 2009, the same year Olly appeared on X Factor, when he missed Ben's wedding and his duties as best man to participate in the singing competition's semi-final.This decision sparked outrage from Ben, who labelled his twin a "self-obsessed sell-out", reports the Mirror.
