Olivia Wilde Says She Was Forced to Cut Sex Acts Out of 'Don't Worry Darling' Trailer

Olivia Wilde is opening up about the cuts that she was forced to make to the Don’t Worry Darling trailer in order for it to be approved by the MPA.

There has been a lot of conversation surrounding the sex acts in the trailer and the film’s star Florence Pugh even addressed her performance being “reduced to your sex scenes.” Now, Olivia has revealed that she had to cut some of the sex acts out of the trailer. The MPA came down hard on me and the trailer at the last second and I had to cut some shots, which I was upset about because I thought they it took it up another notch,” Olivia told the Associated Press. “But of course we still live in a really puritanical society.

I do think the lack of eroticism in American film is kind of new. Then when it comes to female pleasure, it’s something that we just don’t see very often unless you’re talking about queer cinema.
