Paul Merson has urged Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to drop David de Gea for Saturday's clash with Manchester City.

De Gea finds himself in hot water once again after he made a costly error in United's defeat at RB Leipzig on Tuesday. The Spaniard - who was heavily criticised last season - responded slowly to a loose ball in the box and appeared to turn his back as Justin Kluivert poked in to put Leipzig 3-0 up.

United's late rally was not enough to salvage a draw at Red Bull Arena and the 3-2 defeat saw them crash out of the Champions League.

Dean Henderson - who shone on loan at Sheffield United over the last two seasons - watched on from the bench and Merson insists it's high time the Englishman takes over as first-choice
