Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has slammed Erik Lamela for his part in the incident that saw Anthony Martial shown a red card for Manchester United.
United were thrashed 6-1 at Old Trafford by Tottenham, inflicting the Red Devils’ worst home defeat since 2011. The hosts took an early lead, but conceded two quick-fire goals to fall behind in the first ten minutes.
And then with the score at 2-1, Martial was dismissed for an off-the-ball incident before a Spurs corner. Replays showed that the Spurs winger appeared to hit Martial in the chest, before the Frenchman angrily reacted, seeming to slap him in the throat.
