Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has paid tribute to Peter Whittingham, a player he once coached at Cardiff. The Englishman died aged 35 following serious head injuries sustained at the weekend.
Whittingham played over 450 games for the Bluebirds and has been hailed as one of their greatest modern players. Solskjaer worked with him for a period in the Welsh capital and has labelled him as "an incredible human being".
He said in a statement: "I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Whittingham. "Peter was a fantastic footballer and an incredible human being.
