Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has missed out on the opportunity to return to football management after Canada appointed former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch as their new national team head coach.
It was reported last month that Solskjaer was contacted by Canada about becoming their new boss, though Marsch is the individual who has been selected to take on this new challenge ahead of this summer's Copa America.
Jose Mourinho is believed to have rejected the chance to interview for the role, the same also applying with Frank Lampard as the pair await new opportunities.
For Solskjaer, he has been out of the managerial game since being sacked as United boss in November 2021 after suffering a 4-1 defeat at Watford.
