Drivers above the age of 70 could soon be required to take two medical assessments to keep licence when they turn 70, an expert has warned.In a shake-up on new motoring laws, older drivers may have to undergo vision checks and brain tests when they hit a certain age.

Siobhan Thomas, a Partner in Hugh James’ serious injury team, said: “Depending on your responses to the self-assessment questionnaire, you may be required to undergo a medical assessment to assess your fitness to drive. “These assessments are conducted by healthcare professionals, often your GP or a designated medical practitioner.
