Ofgem is set to announce a new energy price cap later this week. Billpayers across the country will be told what they should be expected to pay annually on Friday, February 23.

The price cap is reviewed every three months and dictates the unit rate cost of energy based on what an average household will spend in a year.

Currently, the price cap is set at £1,928 - a £94 increase from the previous cap of £1,834. Ofgem's next announcement will cover the cap for bills from April to June 30. Try MEN Premium now for FREE...
