Video shows the moment a car burst into flames in a suburban street - moments after the occupants got out. The drama happened on Oak Road in Cheadle, near Stockport, shortly before 10am on Saturday.
The car, believed to be a BMW X3, was destroyed but the occupants escaped unharmed before firefighters arrived at the scene.
Residents at first feared the fire could spread to other vehicles or even properties. But firefighters using breathing gear extinguished the blaze before it spread. One resident, Carrie-Anne Connor, said the occupants got out when smoke started pouring out of the engine. She added: "It was bonkers!
