Liam and Noel Gallagher have finally given Oasis fans what they want after a 15-year-feud, as they took to X on Tuesday (27 August) to announce a world tour next year, telling fans: “This is it, this is happening” The band will hit the road for 12 UK dates and 2 Dublin dates, which will kick off the beginning of their world tour, they announced.
And with the sibling rockers finally seeing eye to eye, the string of shows are even set to eclipse Taylor Swift's recent Eras tour - which took the world by storm and saw over 4.3 million tickets sold - music expert Kevin McManus predicts.
Anticipating a frenzy, he told ITV: "I think people forget but the two Knebworth shows they did almost 4% of the population tried to get tickets. They sold out 250,000 tickets, but it was a ridiculous amount of people who tried to buy tickets, they were that huge. "But this, because people have been talking about it for the past decade, it's going to be even bigger.
I think everybody is going to try and get a ticket.Taylor Swift was obviously the big deal this summer, I think it's going to absolutely dwarf that, just because it's them and there's that talk." The Manchester group made waves in the nineties but split in 2009 after a backstage row in Paris and have not played together since.
