Number of Lanarkshire COVID cases increased for third week in a row

iOS - Android Last week was the third consecutive week in which COVID-19 cases have increased after falling to their lowest level for eight months at the end of April.Case numbers in Lanarkshire are still down by 88 per cent since the New Year peak in the week beginning January 4, when 2353 were confirmed.The rate of cases in Lanarkshire is also around 70 per cent lower than neighbouring Glasgow City, which has one of the highest rates in the country.Deaths from coronavirus also remain at their lowest levels since last summer, with the last recorded in Lanarkshire on April 27 - 28 days ago.In total, 41,951 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Lanarkshire and 1321 people have sadly died from the virus.Lanarkshire has been the worst.
