Novak Djokovic had a shocking upset at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. The 34-year-old tennis player, who is currently ranked number one in the world, failed to win a medal during his final match at the Olympic games on Saturday (July 31) in Tokyo, Japan. Novak played in the bronze medal singles match against Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta and lost the match.
He then withdrew from the bronze medal mixed doubles match, citing an injury to his left shoulder. Australia’s Ash Barty and John Peers have automatically won the bronze medal because of Novak‘s withdrawal and his partner Nina Stojanović is missing out on her chance to play for the medal.
