Legendary Notting Hill star Rhys Ifans may leave fans – and Rod Stewart himself – devastated as he has dismissed the idea of playing the rock legend in a biographical movie.
The 53-year-old Welshman is said to be the top choice of 76-year-old Sir Rod to play him in a movie of his life. Rod has been keen to create a big screen version of his life following the success of similar biopics of music legends such as Sir Elton John’s Rocketman and the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
And while Rod said last year he would love to see Rhys slip in to skin tight leather trousers to play him, the actor himself has dismissed the idea.
