North West Ambulance Service issues plea to 'not ring them back' amid 999 call spike

The service is urging people not to call for an ambulance unless the patient is in a medical emergency. NWAS added that those who have already called should not continue to do so, unless they no longer need an ambulance or the patient's condition worsens.
